We had Seasons in the Sun.

I feel like I haven't been on here in ages! Well, the truth is, I haven't!
I've been on an 'actual' vacation with B.
We're visiting M's family in Quesnel, B.C.; M grew up in this Town, so I feel lucky to be able to spend a good chunk of time up North, especially in the HOT Summer months. I've only ever been up here in the Fall, Winter, and early Spring - but never July. It's been a steady 30 Degrees, with a few hot rain showers and thunder storms (very spectacular to say the least).
Yesterday, the whole family went to Cottonwood River. It's a beautiful place to spend the day. My sister and I floated down the river, it took us about and hour and a half to reach base camp, where B was anxiously awaiting our arrival. The river was cold, as it gets a direct glacier run off, but the Sun was high and dry.
We will be here until Sunday morning, and then we will pack up the X-Terra and drive to Vernon to visit Aunty C. Can't wait to get a close look at some of my favourite wineries!

Welcome to the World precious S!

Sofia Z has Arrived!

I'm officially an Auntie (on my immediate side of the Family).

She was born beautifully into the arms of her Momma and Dad, on Friday, June 26th at 10:49pm. The night was crisp and warm, and not to mention a Full beautiful Moon. Little S weighed 9.9 lbs! Perfect & Pink, with long black hair and hazel eyes. Her Momma was a rock-star and truly did an amazing job (especially because the labour lasted for roughly 50 hours!).

Congratulations C & D! I'm more than blessed to have had the honour of witnessing this amazing event. What a memory. I will cherish that beautiful experience for life.

Welcome to the World precious Sofia! I can't wait to hold you soon. XOX

Inner Fullness - Align with your highest potential.

Today I had the pleasure of attending a day-long Yoga retreat, right here on Bowen Island!
The first teacher was Suzanne Slocum-Gori, she lead the class in Asana, Pranayama, and Meditation. Then, we took a break for a delicious vegan raw lunch, prepared by Gorilla Foods.
Wade Morissette, who practices and teaches Kirtan (a Meditation with chanting a music).
The day was beautiful, and truly a treat. Even better, I attended the retreat with my Sister!

It was deeply inspiring, and makes me want to further explore Yoga, Meditation and Kirtan.

For more info on the teachers visit yogaforthepeople.ca

Namaste.

I'm even more in love with Thomas now.

We had a fantastic time at 'A day out with Thomas 2010'. It was everything I thought it would be and more. The best part was watching B's face light up the moment he walked through the gates. He sincerely believes that we were on Sodor Island with Thomas and all his friends. We went aboard Thomas, as he puffed along for about a half hour. We met Sir Topham Hatt (but B wouldn't get to close, I don't blame him - mascots can be a bit freaky). The location was the West Coast Railway Heritage Park, in Squamish, B.C. I've never been there before. What a treat. There are a group of volunteer engineers who have built little locomotives and tracks. The tracks weave around rock gardens, and in those gardens are even more-miniature trains complete with tunnels and bridges. We'll be back soon.

Precious S is on her way.

My older brother and his wife are having a baby girl in 'roughly' 12 days.
Their due-date, or, as I like to call it, due-month, is June 17th. I can't wait! They're also moving to Bowen in July, which I'm extremely excited about.

Bo will get to grow up with his cousin, how special is that?

I'm wishing her a safe, healthy, and powerful, labour and birth. I stumbled across this 'birth affirmation' today:

I am a birth warrior
I embrace my strength
I embrace my power
I surrender to my body’s wisdom
and bring forth life in joy…

Choo Choo!

Bo's other love - Thomas and his Friends.

His love for trains started about a year ago, and just keeps growing and growing.
He loves tucking his trains into the roundshouse at night, then calling for them to wake up in the morning. His enjoyment fills me with so much love - it makes me melt.

This Sunday, B, M, and I are going to Squamish, B.C. to meet the 'real' Thomas!
The look on B's face is going to be priceless. Lets hope the sun comes out to play.
